SIATC Zine Issue 2 – CALL FOR SUBMISSIONS!

CALL FOR SUBMISSIONS :  SIATC Zine Issue 2

This is a call out for contributions to the second edition of the Storm in a Teacup Zine to be launched on July 9th 2010 at The Victoria, Mile End.

The first edition was launched with great success at the end of February, having been lovingly written, produced, photocopied, hand stapled and hand painted by the storm in a teacup girls.

In the spirit of our DIY foremothers, we aim to produce a hand printed zine three times a year containing articles, interviews, art, recipes, music, poetry and craft. The idea being to write UNCENSORED about inspiring women with brains, style and talent. No funding, no advertising, no airbrushing and no self-esteem bashing articles in sight!

We are now looking for poetry, short stories, articles, craft ideas, patterns and illustrations by female contributors on any theme to be considered for inclusion. The zine will be launched at Storm in a Teacup’s very special female ACOUSTIC/ FOLK NIGHT to be held on July 9th at The Victoria, Mile End and will be available at various events over the coming months, including our art party in August (being organised in collaboration with DIY Womp Collective) and various Ladyfest Ten fundraisers throughout the summer. More info coming soon!

If you would like to submit work for consideration, please email storminateacupzine@gmail.com

The DEADLINE for submissions is the 31st May 2010.

For any more info, just get in touch!
