Dear Teacups,

It’s ALL about collaboration this month…with fundraisers for Ladyfest Ten whipping up a storm, and the call for submissions for the SIATC/ DIY WOMP ‘Have Your Cake & Eat it” Art Party freshly baked and ready for you to sink your teeth into.

Storm in a Teacup are really excited to announce our collaboration with DIY WOMP collective and best of all we have just released the call for submissions for art work to be displayed at our very special exhibition at the brand new gallery @ The George Tavern on Saturday the 21st of August. To celebrate we will be throwing a big party with acoustic acts, spoken word and an evening of female fronted bands and DJs.

For more information about how to submit your artwork check out the brief here or email us:

We are also extra excited about ‘Women Who Howl At the Moon’ female folk night on Friday the 9th of July at the Victoria, Mile End. With six amazing female acoustic acts plus zine table, SIATC DJ’s and more. Unfortunately Issue #2 SIATC zine isn’t quite ready to be unleashed on the world but come along and sign up for a free copy!

To top of our awesome weekend we will be going to the Bust summer Craftacular on Saturday the 10th of July. Verity Flecknell from (SIATC) and Annette Barlow from (The Girls are..) will be DJing as She Runs With Wolves. Facebook event:

We had to wave a little goodbye to the fabulous Swallows & Amazons life drawing salon for a few months- returning again hopefully in September. Huge thanks to Nikki Shaill (Cherry Bakewell) and Ellie Green (SIATC) and lots of other lovely ladies from Ladyfest and SIATC for organising and hosting the classes with such inspiring and innovative flair! Soon we will be announcing the line-up for two “So She Said” spoken word fundraisers for Ladyfest ten in August and September at the Victoria, Mile End.

Please visit our blog site to find out how to get involved in the collective and to keep up with the latest news.
