FUNNY WOMEN PRESENTS: STAND UP TO STAND OUT
Sun 14 Nov @ The Resource Centre, 13.30 – 14.30
For the last eight years Funny Women has been nurturing and promoting female comedy talent – from finding and developing new acts through its annual competition, the Funny Women Awards, to working with established performers.
Funny Women also runs regular workshops devoted to helping women explore their funny side. Humour can be an invaluable attribute in many aspects of life including relationships, confidence building and communications. Over the last eight years over 1,500 women have found their comic voice through Funny Women’s workshops and live events.
Believing that humour is a valuable form of self expression that women can develop we are running a special Ladyfest workshop. With more women compelled to make speeches at social events and professional women increasingly sharing their experiences on public and media platforms, confidence and communication skills are essential for achieving personal and professional success. So Funny Women will share a few tricks of the comedy trade to help you on your way. Whether you want to become a professional comic or would like to be more self confident in your everyday life – this workshop might be just the start of funnier things to come.
