SIATC *UPDATE* March 2011

Dear Teacups,

What an exciting month! With International Womens Day 100th anniversary on March 8th there are so many fabulous events coming up including Ladyfest Manchester and the first ever Women of the World festival at the Southbank centre.

First up some great additions to our guest line-up for our Zine Workshops at Women of the World Festival on Saturday 12th and Sunday 13th of March. The most exciting news is that we will have special guest acoustic performances in the Storm in a Teacup area curated by WOW festival performers including Emmy the Great. Expect fabulous, unmissable performances from some of the best up and coming female artists. All this while you can also take part in Zine Workshops lead by Soupa Creative Network. Talks with Shebang zine, Nest Gallery and VV Collective. Plus more guests including: Fat Quarter Magazine, Read Horse Zine and Magpies Magazine. Phew how exciting!

CONTRIBUTE We will also be working on an ongoing zine project over the weekend to create the very first Women of the World zine. Bring your contributions along or help us on the production line as we create and produce a very special zine over the weekend.

You will need a Saturday or Sunday conference ticket to come along and visit the Storm in a Teacup area

Also this month Elizabeth Martin (co-founder of Storm in a Teacup) is performing with her band Severin at Ladyfest Manchester 2011 on Sunday 13th of March. FACEBOOK EVENT:
