Dear Teacups,

After a relatively quiet couple of months in teacup land all of a sudden things are getting busy again. This month sees some worthy activist causes to support including the “Eff off Hef” campaign lead by UK Feminista and Object against the re-opening of the Playboy club in London and the global SlutWalk movement that is literally gaining pace and coming to London town on the 11th of June. So this month not only do we see some great feminist campaigns grabbing national and international attention but  and some exciting feminist friendly performances and events coming up. Not only is there inspiring feminist activity happening on a bigger scale, its also your chance to get involved on a local level with the launch of the East London branch of the Fawcett Society on Thursday 9th of June. Recognising the feminist activity in East London, the Fawcett Society are setting up a local branch in reaction to this increased activity- so come along, join in the debate, help shape policies and get your voice heard.
