Dear Teacups,

Phew, what an amazing summer in teacup land so far, and we have yet another action packed month ahead! This week the first SO SHE SAID Ladyfest Ten fundraiser at The Victoria. A new night of spoken word, poetry and storytelling celebrating women and words, as well as three rather awesome guest poets we are so excited that Hannah Ballou from Panic Lab collective will be hosting plus OPEN MIC! So if you’re a storyteller, writer, poet or comedienne please email to secure your slot.

Also this week our lovely friends from For Books Sake are organising a Literary Quiz night . With hundreds of pounds worth of prizes- get your nerd dream team together for a £5.00 per head to win lots of lovely goodies. Also raffles and a book swap all in aid of Ladyfest Ten of course!

Last but not least the most exciting ART/MUSIC party of the summer ‘HAVE YOUR CAKE & EAT IT‘ at The George Tavern on Saturday 21st of August. SIATC have joined forces with the amazing DIY Womp collective to organise a stellar line-up of female artists, poets, acoustic acts, bands and DJs! We are so excited that Betty & The Werewolves are headlining especially as they just released their aptly named EP: Tea Time Favourites. We will also be displaying art work submitted from both collectives at the Art exhibition upstairs at The George running for a whole week after the event. Come see some amazing art, network, have a drink and a dance!

Please visit our blog site to find out how to get involved in the collective and to keep up with the latest news.
