LULU AND THE LAMPSHADES // YOU ARE WOLF // VANESSA WOOLF // GUEST POETS // CRAFTIVIST COLLECTIVE

Join Ladyfest Ten in celebrating ten years of the DIY arts and activism movement that has sparked hundreds of events across the globe as we take over Friday Tonic the week before the main festival.

LULU AND THE LAMPSHADES
passionately ramshackle, upbeat and folksy at times, mournful at others..some of the finest harmonies, percussion and typewriter playing around…and at Bestival they managed to almost electrocute a dancer with a lampshade on her head on stage. What’s not to love?

YOU ARE WOLF
experimental folk and originals through looped vocals, melodica, bass and whatever else she can lay her hands on. You Are Wolf explores mostly English folk songs and original material with gentle touches of electronica, weaves in spoken word and throws in an array of wild vocal techniques.

‘Inventive, creepy, gorgeous’ The Other Woman, Resonance FM

SPECIAL GUEST POETS & STORYTELLER VANESSA WOOLF
Drawing inspiration from Poetry International, there are also special guest performance poets on the bill, as well as storyteller Vanessa Woolf illuminating female folklore.

CRAFTIVIST COLLECTIVE
create paper doves for peace with Craftivist Collective

PLUS FILM & BONFIRE NIGHT SURPRISES for those who get there early….
